Your guide will meet you upon your morning arrival in Johannesburg at O R Tambo International Airport. Depart for a township tour of Soweto, visit the very moving Hector Pieterson Museum and Nelson Mandela’s House – reflect on the “Apartheid” era of South Africa’s history. Lunch en route, before checking-in at our charming little lodge near the airport. Dinner will be served at the lodge.

Travel via Middelburg, Dullstroom, Lydenburg and the breathtaking “Panorama Route” to admire the natural beauty of the Blyde River Canyon – third deepest in the world, Bourke’s Luck Potholes and God’s Window. Lunch en route and dinner can be enjoyed at the lodge’s restaurant. Overnight in the beautiful Sabie River Valley near Hazyview.

Day 3 & 4:
Depart for the world-renowned Kruger National Park (KNP). Spend the next two days in the central Kruger area, which is known for its large herds of zebra, wildebeest & giraffe and they are the main prey for lions!!!!. Dinner on the first night will be served at the camps restaurant and the next night as a traditional “potjie” – stew prepared by your guide – good luck. Overnight at a camp in the KNP.

Other included activity: Day 4 – Sunset or evening open vehicle safari with a park ranger.
Travel north through Kruger. The KNP is known to be the most diverse park in the world with 140 mammals, 119 reptiles, ± 506 bird, 55 amphibians and ± 1980 plant species. Dinner can be enjoyed at the camps restaurant. Overnight at a camp in the park.

Day 6 & 7:
Depart after breakfast from the park via Punda Maria Gate. Travel through Venda, which is known as “the land of legends” to Leshiba nature reserve nestled in an extremely remote area of the scenic Soutpansberg Mountains. Arrive early enough to have a picnic lunch and to enjoy an afternoon hike on a guided archaeological (rock art) trail that offers an enlightening and mystical venture into the past. Dinner will be served as a traditional “braai” – barbeque prepared by your guide. The unique luxury Venda style Leshiba lodge was built on the foundation of an old Venda village.

A travelling day. Depart early morning for Botswana. Breakfast and lunch on route. Travel to Nata via the Zanzibar Border Post (SA / Botswana border post), Selebi-Phikwe and Francistown. Overnight near Nata – the gateway to Botswana’s rich natural beauty.
Accommodation: Nata Lodge or similar – Safari Tents (B)
This morning we take an included open vehicle safari to the Makgadikgadi Pans National Park, which is known for its prolific birdlife. Then we travel to Kasane, arriving in time for lunch at your lodge on the banks of the Chobe River. This area is well known for its large herds of elephant and Cape buffalo. Afternoon at leisure. Overnight in Kasane – Botswana.

Optional activities: Tiger fishing on the Chobe River
Explore the Chobe National Park – “Big 4” country, on an early morning included open vehicle safari. You then have the rest of the day to relax at the lodge with its beautiful setting along the Chobe River, before an included sunset river safari into Chobe National Park. Overnight in Kasane – Botswana.

Cross the border at Kazungula to Zimbabwe for a visit to one of the “natural wonders of the world”. Although, Dr David Livingstone first viewed the Victoria Falls on the 16 November 1855 from Livingstone Island in Zambia, the best view of the Victoria Falls is without a doubt from the Zimbabwe side. Enjoy lunch, the afternoon and evening at leisure at the “grand old lady” or participate in an optional activity. Overnight in Victoria Falls – Zimbabwe.

The morning at leisure, before we transfer you to the Victoria Falls Airport in order for you to catch your flight to Johannesburg and then home.
Travel to Johannesburg, catch your flight to Cape Town. Your guide will meet you on arrival in Cape Town to transfer you to your hotel. Dinner can be enjoyed at one of the numerous excellent restaurants on the Victoria & Alfred Waterfront. Overnight in Cape Town on the V & A Waterfront.
Take a scenic drive around the “Cape Peninsula”. Visit Hout Bay and the Cape Fur Seal colony on Duiker Island, Cape of Good Hope Nature Reserve, Chapman’s Peak Pass, Cape of Good Hope, Cape Point and Boulders – Penguins. Have lunch at one of the numerous restaurants in Simonstown. Optional and weather permitting – we take the cableway up Table Mountain. Evening at leisure. Overnight in Cape Town on the V & A Waterfront.
A day at leisure, where you can do the following optional activities – a city orientation tour of South Africa’s beautiful Mother City on the “hop-on hop-off bus” or visit a local township or visit Robben Island where Nelson Mandela was imprisoned for 17 years or visit to Kirstenbosch National Botanical Gardens or visit one of the numerous beautiful beaches around the Cape or for the energetic – take a hike up Table Mountain or for the brave – shark cage diving. Evening at leisure. Overnight in Cape Town on the V & A Waterfront.
Wine tastings and a cellar tour at various wine estates along the Cape’s world-renowned Stellenbosch Wine Route, also spend some time in the picturesque and historical towns of Stellenbosch and Franschhoek. Enjoy your farewell dinner at Vijff Vlieghen (Five Flies) Restaurant. Overnight in Cape Town on the V & A Waterfront.
Morning at leisure. Lunch at the V & A Waterfront, time for last minute shopping and weather permitting an optional helicopter flight over the “Cape Peninsula”. Transfer to Cape Town International Airport in order for you to catch your flight home.
